The demonstrators criticised what they described as the collapse of the nation\u2019s power sector, stressing that erratic electricity is undermining livelihoods and making life increasingly difficult across Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Placards displayed messages such as \u201cNo More Estimated Billing,\u201d \u201cNo More Epileptic Power Supply,\u201d \u201cNo Light, No Life, No Nation,\u201d and \u201cYou\u2019re Destroying Businesses; Give Us Regular Light.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One protester declared, \u201cWe are not asking for too much. Give us light!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Local business owners also highlighted the severe impact of inconsistent power supply on their operations, noting that reliance on fuel-powered generators has significantly increased operating costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A shop owner at the protest lamented: \u201cWe cannot continue like this. Every day we spend money on fuel because there is no electricity.
